Wild sensual embodiment

workshop

Sara Ablinger is a Vienna based bodyworker and workshop facilitator specialised in body positivity, radical self-care & self-love, consent culture, intimacy and conscious sexuality. Bringing Big Body Love to Austria and Europe, she creates spaces of empowerment, authenticity, connection, pleasure and healing, focussing on the empowerment and participation of marginalised bodies such as queer, fat, disabled bodies.

wild sensual embodiment you are body. you are earth. you are water. you are blood. you are breath. you are soul. this workshop aims to ground and connect you to yourself, the senses, the body as well as all those around you. feel your aliveness through breath and movement. become present. sharpen your senses through body awareness and mindful self touch. paint your embodiment onto your skin with body paint. take up all the space you deserve. show yourself in all your colors. let yourself be witnessed with the body you come in. let’s meet each other as the creative, wild and sensual beings we are. in your unique body. with your individual expression and speed. fully present, fully alive connection to others is true intimacy. welcome body, welcome you! workshop will include: breathing and mindfulness exercises, movement / expression / dance with or without music, body painting, witnessing / looking at each other sequence, solo / pair / group exercises, you can wear as much or little as you like (body painting is excluding the genitals due to sanitary reasons) – I suggest an extra pair of underwear if it gets paint on it

Playfight + Objectification + Transformative Writing

workshop & a participatory art installation

TRANSFORMATIVE WRITING
Writing doesn ́t start with clever thoughts or thoughts at all. It starts
with a body; a body that is curious about it ́s surrounding.
Writing doesn ́t start with words; it starts by listening.

So this workshop is designed as an exchange of life-stories but not sto-
ries to be told from beginning to end but from now to now and person to person.

We will use abstract calligraphy and asemic writing as tools of em-
bodied writing, searching for authentic expressions.

We exchange textwords and attention.

Here we search for the potential to transform each other. by being fully
present with all we are.
The basic topic of this detournament is that which we have lost, missed,
given up in the current crisis and also that which we want to erase
and get rid of dump, ditch and repell to make new space for new ideas,
thought and action.
We might end up in a collective writing – overwriting, copywriting and
transcribing.

meditation

stretching exercises for your consciousness

(open eye meditation / 35min / no previous knowledge necessary)

We practice a combination of Integral Meditation and Awakening Interbeing: an unusual, wide-angle-like attentiveness that on the one hand focuses us, and at the same time leads us into the entire fullness and complexity of all sensory perceptions, thoughts and feelings. Paradoxically, relaxation sets in! This method of mindfulness trains the ability to consciously perceive on several levels at the same time, and to observe oneself during this perception. With a little practice, it leads to a clear and alert openness that can be applied in any everyday situation.

melanie bonajoe

& skinship

workshop & performance

Melanie Bonajo (they/them) is a queer, non-binary, Dutch artist, filmmaker, feminist, sexological bodyworker, somatic sex coach and educator, cuddle workshop facilitator and animal rights activist. Through their videos, performances, photographs and installations, Mel examines current conundrums of co-existence in a crippling capitalistic systems, and address themes of eroding intimacy and isolation in an increasingly sterile, technological world.[1]

They research how technological advances and commodity based pleasures increase feelings of alienation, removing a sense of belonging in an individual, and their works present anti-capitalist methods to reconnect, explore sexualities, intimacies and feelings. Their experimental documentaries often explore communities living or working on the margins of society, either through illegal means or cultural exclusion, and the paradoxes inherent to ideas of comfort with a strong sense for community, equality, and body-politics. Their work has been exhibited and screened internationally, from the Tate Modern, MoMA PS1, to De Appel Arts Centre and Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam to Manifesta 12, the Gwanjou Biennale, the Center for Contemporary Art, Warsaw, the Kunsthalle Basel, International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), the Berlinale, the International Film Festival Rotterdam, and Treefort Film Fest.[2]

Bondage trough*feeling

workshop

Julia is an artist (Trans Arts, Critical Studies), cultural mediator and currently in training under supervision to become a mediator, relationship and sexual counselor (ÖAGG, ÖGS). She is passionate about the diversity of possibilities for intimate encounters and the experience of closeness, which she continues to explore in a vibrant research practice.

Joanna is a media artist, performer, dancer. She graduated from the University of Applied Arts (Transmedia Arts), Sexological Basics at ÖGS, learned the Art of Clowning and has an extensive research and practice in Conscious Sexuality/ Concious Sexuality.

Since 2019 we have been working together as an interdisciplinary collective true feeling. Together we explore the emancipatory potential of interpersonal contact. Can the experience of physical, as well as emotional closeness, intimacy, touchability and consensus be experienced as a rebellion against the patriarchy that is maintained by the repression of named issues on the one hand and their commercial exploitation and corruption on the other? We are enthusiastic about the development of mental and real shelters through the work with feelings. In doing so, we always act as artists and culturally creative women*. The central theme is feeling one’s own limits and positions. Emancipatory touch happens on this border with a living: YES, absolutely!
